As a mobile notary, I treat every inmate with respect and kindness. My goal is to provide Notary Public Services promptly and efficiently. I notarize a wide range of documents for inmates and their families, including Power of Attorney, Inmate Property Release Forms, and Vehicle Impound Release Forms. Before you request notarial services, it's crucial to understand the following important considerations:

  • Informed Consent: Before booking a mobile notary, you need to inform the inmate about your plan to send a Notary to the Jail. The inmate must understand the purpose of the document and agree to sign it. If the inmate is unaware or refuses to sign, refunds will not be issued.

  • Reviewing Documents: It's essential for you to carefully review the documents. Some documents may require the presence of witnesses. It's important to note that the notary cannot serve as a witness and notarize the document.

  • Witness Availability: If you are unable to provide witnesses to meet the Notary at the jail, there may be an option to have one or two witnesses provided for an additional fee, depending on the circumstances. However, whenever possible, it is recommended to use forms that only require the Notary Public to notarize the document. This helps simplify the process.​

Notarial services are available at Mercer County Correctional Center, also known as The Workhouse, from Monday to Friday, strictly by appointment only. If you are unable to personally meet with the Notary at the jail to submit or receive your document(s), we offer a convenient alternative. You may upload the document(s) using the form below and include a return shipping label from UPS or FedEx with your order. Alternatively, you can provide an address where you would like the documents returned, and we will use FedEx or UPS to ship the executed notarized document(s) to the address you specify.

Please keep in mind that it is often advisable to obtain at least two copies of your documents. This is particularly important for documents like Power of Attorney, as you may need to present them in multiple locations. Some locations may require you to keep an original copy on file or they may retain it for a certain period of time. By having additional copies, you can ensure a smooth process without any delays or complications.
